Date: June, 1998
Dear friends,
We send you warm greetings in Christ !
We prepare to go home in July for a year furlough. On the last prayer letter we wrote that we were not sure when we get our work permit renewed. Last week, thankfully, we got our supporting letter from the Ministry of Justice, which supports that we can work here until next summer. Praise the Lord ! So it means that we can get our renewed work permit next week, two month earlier than the expiring date. And we can go home now !
At the moment we are in the feeling of mixture, rather than in the excitement of going home. We need to say good bye to our friends and students here. We don't feel that we are ready to go home now, but we want to meet our family and friends in Korea. And we are not sure what will happen to our supporting fund because of the crisis in Korean economy. We commit ourselves to God's guidance.
Please keep praying for us that :
- Jong kook may travel down to Southern part of Ethiopia for evangelism during June 22-July 4.
- The first graduates of the Jimma Bible School and Ethiopian missionaries from Wallaita who work in Southern part of Ethiopia may have good fellowship and get good training course during the home coming day on the 5th-8th Jul. Both of us are teaching some courses to equip them for their ministry.
- We may have good time with our supporting churches, friends and family.
- Anna and Jason may find good Christian teachers and friends, and adjust well to Korean school.
- We may spend our time fruitfully to prepare the next term ministry.
Our new address is the following,
Love from Jason, Anna, Jong-kook, Grace, Park
We often visited the local churches to encourage the believers with the Word of God.
We enjoyed teaching at the Amharic Bible School at Jimma.
Jong kook likes to reach people who don't hear the gospel.
