Park's Prayer Letter (No. 17)

Dear friends,

Warm greetings from Park's family ! Many of you may be asking, "whatever happened to Jongkook & Grace Park ? We haven't heard from them since May." Well, it is not because there has been nothing happening in our lives.

We've been here OMSC (Overseas Ministries Study Center), New Haven, CT in U.S. We are taking some courses from here and are having fellowship with other overseas missionaries. Most of the time, on weekend, Jong kook have visited some Korean churches here and preached or shared what God was doing in Ethiopia.

We thank God that we've been nurtured and been refreshed spiritually in many ways while we are staying in U.S. When we came back to Korea, we were discouraged because of supporting situation and depressed by Grace's father's illness and his passing away. However God helped us to overcome every moment and showed us His way to fulfill His will. And now we are ready for going back to our ministry in Ethiopia. We are leaving on Dec. 29, and arrive at Addis Ababa on Dec. 30, 1999.

Phillipians 1:6 "Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."

We believe that Jong kook's work permit will get through as SIM Ethiopia are registered as mission organization until 2001. And still we need your sincere prayers for our moving back to Ethiopia.

Please pray that
1. All of our family are healthy and well physically and emotionally for moving into Ethiopia.
2. Jason(Tony) & Anna smoothly prepare for leaving friends and schools here and ready for new class and school in Ethiopia. Both of them are afraid of leaving and don't like to moving back to Ethiopia.
3. Our work assignment and housing in Ethiopia may be sorted out shortly. SIM Ethiopia may place us on Addis Ababa. We still want to be involved in training church leaders and in church ministries.
4. The war between Ethiopia and Eritrea can be settled peacefully.

We thank you for your love and friendship for us and we pray that you have wonderful Christmas and happy millennium new year in Christ.
